POOL DAYS & HOURS:     

 Monday – Friday:  1:00pm – 8:00pm      Saturday & Sunday:  1:00pm – 6:00pm

Monday - Friday 8:30am-11:30am or 8:15pm-10pm available to reserve. Scroll down for instructions.

POOL CLOSINGS: The Pool may not open if air temperature is at or below 70° at 12 noon and may remain closed for the day. The Pool will be closed at the discretion of the Pool Attendant or Pool Managers for thunder, lightning, weather watches and/or weather warnings. During the appearance of inclement weather including but not limited to storm clouds, rain, hail, thunder, lightning, weather watches and/or weather warnings the Pool may temporarily close or close for the day. If you enter during any of these conditions ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK.  

CHECKING IN: To maintain good standing with your Membership, you, your family members and your Guests must stop at the Pool Attendant upon entering the gate to give them your name and the name of the "Household" Member that shows up on the Membership List. Names on the list are in alphabetical order based on the First Person listed on the Membership Application and are indicated as their Household. If you have a Guest, please give the Pool Attendant the full name of your guest. The Guest must enter with a Member.

POOL MAINTANENCE: The pool will be closed several times per season for pool maintenance.  Unfortunately all pools need maintenance, most of which is unpredictable. Sorry for any inconvenience and untimely closings.

TELEPHONE: The Pool telephone is for outgoing emergency calls only. In an effort to minimize its use, any personal phone calls require a 50 cent donation per call. Pack some emergency quarters and/or give quarters to children.

POOL ATTENDANTS: Paid Pool Attendants are hired by the Lincoln Youth Sports Board of Directors. They are encouraged to have passed CPR/First Aid Course  and Lifeguard course along with completing the Water Quality Tester Class. They are in charge of enforcing State of Nebraska, Lancaster County Health Department and Lincoln Youth Sports Swim Pool Rules & Regulations. PARENT DAY: Parent Days will not be announced or scheduled; either are possible. Pool Attendants during Parent Days are Volunteers and may possibly not be CPR/First Aid Certified or Lifeguard Certified who will cover the Pool when Certified Pool Attendants are not available to cover a shift. They are in charge of Pool Rules & Regulations and are required to enforce them. The Parent or Guardian does not have to be there for their Child but it is recommended. It is a Parent's choice if they allow their Child to come and swim without the Parent's supervision. SNACK SHACK: Pool Attendants staff The Snack Shack for a few minutes during Safety Breaks. Personal food and drinks are allowed in the fence but in food areas only. Food and beverage areas are marked by the red line on the Pool Deck. Food, beverages, bottled water, furniture or any food or beverage containers of any kind are not allowed inside the red line. This policy is a combination of Lancaster County Health Department Regulation, State of Nebraska and Lincoln Youth Sports. Please be respectful and honor the Laws/Regulations/Policies. No Glass items of any kind are allowed in the fenced area at any time for any reason by members or their guests. Leave items that are stored in glass containers in the parking lot and serve from there into non-glass containers before bringing inside the fence. This includes Pool Parties.

SWIM LESSONS: No longer available.

NO GLASS CONTAINERS ALLOWED INSIDE THE FENCE. Leave glass containers of any kind in the and serve from there into non-glass containers before bringing inside the fence.

POOL PARTY INFORMATION:

PRIVATE POOL PARTIES: Your payment is your reservation and will appear on the Home page calendar of this website. IMPORTANT: Upon submitting your reservation check (via mail before Memorial Day or dropping off at the Pool after Memorial Day) you must check the calendar page of the website daily until your Pool Party reservation appears. If it does NOT appear within one week contact Mike Letheby by texting 402-432-6453. Your received check is your only reservation.

Renewing Member Pool Party requires a $125 donation for a LYS Pool Party and a $40 cash gift to Pool Attendant (to be provided to the Pool Attendant as you enter for your party.)

Referring Member Pool Party requires a $50 donation and a $40 cash gift to Pool Attendant (to be provided the Pool Attendant as you enter for your party.) If more than one name is named on the New Members Application as the referral then all parties named get one cooperative party in one time block together. We will take the first of the group as the reservation for the group. It is up to you to contact the New Member to make sure who they listed as their referrals. You are responsible to contact all the parties involved.

New Member Pool Party requires a $30 donation and a $40 cash gift to Pool Attendant (to be provided the Pool Attendant as you enter for your party.

Non-Member Pool Party: not available.

All pool party guests must abide by all Lincoln Youth Sports Swim Pool Rules and are the responsibility of the sponsoring member. Continued Guest Violations may result in the sponsoring member's membership being forteited for the remainder of the year and possibly more. Food and drink are allowed inside the fence but outside the red line. Reminder: No glass containers of any kind on pool property other than in the parking lot. IMPORTANT: All pool parties must be scheduled in the pool season of the year of your membership. If not scheduled in that year they will expire worthless and not transferable to another year.

PROPANE GRILL: Grill available but you must bring your own propane tank and take it home that evening. You will also need to bring a grill brush.

ELECTRICITY: Electrical outlets are available above the hose. Bring your own electrical cords and take them home with you. Keep all electrical appliances dry and away from wet people and wet areas. Warn your wet Guests of the danger of electrocution.

$20 Reschedule fee with new date and time of the rescheduled Pool Party in the memo of the check. Pool Parties rained out and terminated by the Pool Attendant will get a monetary credit for their Pool Party fee, (NOT a Pool Party credit.)

$20 Donation required for not putting furniture back where it was.

$20 donation required if you do not sweep up excess food on the deck.

$20 donation required if you do not wipe down tables afterwards.

$20 donation required if you do not pick up excess trash on the deck.

$20 donation required if you or your guest accidently bring glass containers or glass items in through the pool gate.

WARNING: $100 Additional Donation Required if you, your guests and all your equipment are not outside the gate by 15 minutes after the expiration time of your Pool Party. Another Additional $100 Donation Required for EACH 15 minute increment after that. Ambulance Assisted Medical episodes are exempt.

Non-Member Pool Party NOT AVAILABLE.

AGAIN... Please plan to bring $40 as a gift for the Pool Attendant before your guests arrive for each Pool Party block. $60 gift for the 3 hour Pool Party.
To reserve your Pool Party drop off your check made out to LYS at the Pool at least one week before the date of party otherwise the party might not be accepted. Put the date and time you want in the memo portion of the check. To maintain fariness as much as possible, you may NOT request a specific Pool Attandant for your Pool Party.
 IMPORTANT: Your reservation is not complete until after submitting your reservation check (via mail or dropping off at the Pool) AND you have checked the calendar page of the website daily until your Pool Party reservation appears with the correct date, day and time. If it does NOT appear on the website correct within one week contact Mike Letheby by texting 402-432-6453. Your received check and you checking the website is your only reservation. ALL SAFETY-CHECKS 50 MINUTES AFTER THE HOUR AND SAFETY RULES APPLY DURING ALL POOL PARTIES.

MEMBERSHIP: See the membership page for forms and details. Your membership has other benefits also. We reserve the right to refuse membership to anyone.

If membership payment is received or post marked before May 10th the membership will qualify for the Early Bird Discount.

GUEST RATES PER DAY: Guests must arrive with a member. Guests of any age, swimming or not, must make a $7 donation per person. All guests must also check in.

Institutional Day Care: not available.

In-Home Daycares: not available.

Members, including children and/or guests, that use the pool and its facilities are using it at their own risk. Everyone entering the fence are responsible for following the Rules and Regulations. LYS Swimming Pool will not be responsible for any accidents or injury in connection with the use of the pool or grounds. LYS Swimming Pool is not responsible for loss or damage to personal property. Patrons are encouraged to leave money/valuables in a safe secure place or at home. Take home anything of yours that has any value when you leave. If you don't want it you are welcome to leave it and we will throw it away.

All fees, pricing and policies are subject to change without prior notice. All Fees, Donations, Gifts given to LYS are NON-REFUNDABLE for any reason including but not limited to; illness, financial hardship, weather, change of marital status, etc. Do NOT give LYS money unless you are sure of your decision.

 POOL RULES:

The following rules are in effect and were established to create as safe an environment as possible for the LYS members and their guests. Parents are responsible for their children’s behavior and must explain these rules to their children and guests. Failure to comply with these rules may result in immediate membership suspension without a refund.

 1.    All members and their swimming or non-swimming guests are responsible signing in with the Pool Attendant along with making a donation of $5/guest/day or use a Guest Pass. No I.O.U.s will be accepted. Please plan accordingly.

2.    Children under 8 should be accompanied by a person 15 or older who is willing to take the responsibility of their safety.

3.    Children 8 - 15 years may be permitted to swim unaccompanied only if they can pass beginners swimming or pass a basic test given by the Pool Attendant upon request. Test includes: swimming 2 widths of the pool, floating for 2 minutes & treading water for 2 minutes, without touching the bottom or stopping for breaks. If they do not pass they must not enter the water OR wear a life vest.

4.    All swimmers must shower using soap before entering the pool.

5.    If a diaper is worn, it must be a swim diaper.

6.    Street clothes and cutoffs are not allowed in the pool; swim suits only.

7.    Pool Attendants will issue warnings for pool rule violations. 1st Offense will be a warning, the 2nd offense may require an extended conversation with the Pool Attendant. Continued offenses may result in being asked to leave the property. If the problem persists with a Member in future days their membership may be terminated without a refund.  If the problem persists with a Guest in future days they may be restricted from entering the property for the remainder of the season.

8.    No food, drinks, bottled water, cups, beverage containers or furniture are allowed in either pool or between the red line and the pool. Food and drinks are allowed in authorized areas only. Outside food and drinks are acceptable but must stay outside the red line. No glass containers are allowed in the pool fenced area at any time. Items in glass containers maybe be placed into non-glass containers in the parking lot then, once in non glass container, brought into the fenced area.

9.    No popcorn, sunflower seeds, gum, tobacco products of any kind, drugs or alcohol are allowed inside the pool fence.

10. Those under the influence of drugs or alcohol will be asked to leave but may not drive any vehicle. If the incident is severe, the police may possibly be called to report the incident.

11. No loitering or “hanging around” shower rooms, front of building, or on the sidewalks.

12. No abusive, name calling, or profane language maybe used at anytime. No running, pushing, dunking, wrestling, roughhousing, grabbing others swim wear or their personal items, launching others into the air, sitting on others shoulders, standing on others shoulders are prohibited in or around the pool area at any time. Any activity where you are interacting with someone and they ask you to stop you must stop..

13. No blowing nose, spitting or urinating in the pool.

14. No pets allowed within the pool fence. Service animals may be tied to the outside of the fence to allow owner easy visual and audio access.

15. No one will be admitted with a communicable disease, open skin area, rash, or bandage with any liquids wet or that have dried on the bandage.

16. No diving or flips are allowed in the shallow half of the pool or in the baby pool.

17. No air mattresses, large inner tubes or any floatation devices are allowed in the baby pool. Floating items are not allow to be left in the Main Pool unattended. If you see an unattended floating device, please remove it from the pool and away from foot traffic areas. Floatation items or beach balls are only allowed in the shallow half of the pool. The shallow half of the pool is designated by the floating rope and black line painted on the bottom of the pool.

18. The Pool Attendants reserves the right to deny swimming to anyone at any time at their discretion.

19. Spring Board: DIVE AT YOUR OWN RISK ! One person at a time on the diving board ladder or diving board. Others must wait with both feet on the deck. Bounces to launch must be kept to a reasonable number. You must jump straight off (not to the side.) You may begin your launch off the Board when area is clear of swimmers. No hanging on board. No swimming under the board or in the Board Landing Zone. No "sailor dives." If landing head first, arms must be fully extended over your head as you enter the water and remain over your head until you begin to surface. Once at the surface you must swim out of the Board Landing Zone.

20. Slide: To use the slide you must be 5 years old OR be able to climb the ladder and go down the slide without any assistance. One person on the slide structure at a time. Others must wait on the pool deck until they see the previous person hit the water. You will be banned from the use of the slide if you stop yourself inside the tube. Feet first is the only allowable way to go down the slide. After you splash into the water you must leave the area immediately. No swimming, standing or on a floatation device near the discharge area of the slide at any time. The discharge area is marked with red lines on the bottom of the pool.

21. No hanging on the mid-line blue/white buoyed rope. No swimming over the top of the rope. No pulling or hanging on the rope for any reason other than to save your life. If you exercise that option then you must put on a life jacket for the remainder of your stay at the pool or not enter the pool.

22. Occupied small floatation rings are permitted anytime in the shallow end of the pool. Floatation rings may not be left in the pool unattended. Inner tubes, air mattresses, non-personal floatation devices, Nerf balls, beach balls or any entertaining floatation items are not allowed in the deep end of the pool nor if there are more than 20 swimmers in the pool or at the Pool Attendant's discretion.

23. No bats or swords made of any material are allowed. No hard balls or "Superballs" or high-bounce balls of any kind are allowed. No balls smaller than a volleyball are allowed. Kicking anything on the deck is prohibited. Striking or hitting or throwing things at others is strictly prohibited. No Frisbees, flying or objects floating in the air are allowed inside the fence. You may NOT jump onto any floation devices that is in the pool water.

24. No bikes, scooters, skateboards, rolling shoes inside the fence. All bikes must be placed in bike racks outside the fence. The pool is not responsible for lost or stolen property. Lock up bikes appropriately.

25. Children 5 and under are allowed in the Baby Pool Swim Area and must be accompanied by a guardian. Children older than 5 are allowed in the Baby Pool Area but not allowed in the Baby Pool water. Unattended young child in the baby pool might need the care of Child Protected Services or Lincoln Police Department to ensure the safety of the child. Any child swimming in the big pool is not allowed in the baby pool during the Safety Break.

26. Safety breaks are taken every hour for at least 10 minutes and will begin when the hour is at its 50th minute. The break may be extended for any reason by the Pool Attendant or Pool Managers. The last Safety Break of the day is the time to gather your personal belongings and exit the property. The last Safety Break is the most important for the Pool Attendant. Please exit quickly and safely. After the last Safety Break, DO NOT STAY ON THE PROPERTY unless specifically requested by the Pool Attendant. The Pool Attendants safety is our highest priority and for that reason they are instructed to call the Lincoln Police Department if anyone is on the property after the last Safety Break. To avoid misunderstandings please leave the property. If you wish to monitor the safety of the Pool Attendant entering and leaving in their vehicle, please do it at a distance off the property. This Policy includes Pool Parties. Members reserving Pool Parties please instruct your guests of this Policy.

27. Pool Attendants are NOT watching the water during Safety Breaks. All non-adult individuals must be outside the red line during the Pool during Safety Breaks.

28. Swimmers must be 19 years of age and older to swim during the Safety Break and may be requested to show proof of age. They swim at their own risk.  All Members and Guests under the age of 19 must stay away from the Pool edge during Safety Breaks.  Children under the age of one year can accompany a 19 or older Guardian in the water during Safety Breaks with constant contact and attention. Guardian assumes all responsibility and risk.

29. The cost of any property damage or damage because of improper use from a Member or their Guest will be the responsibility of the Member or the Member who is the host of their Guest. Damage or misuse of any part of the pool property may result in restricting them from returning to the pool property for the remainder of the season.

30. Air temperature must reach 70 degrees by 12-noon for the pool to open for the day.

31. Hours may be altered during inclement weather or required Pool maintenance or chemicals being out of balance,

32. Non-LYS bills or flyers of any kind may NOT be posted anywhere on the LYS property.

33. Additional rules may also be posted at the pool.

34. WARNING: If it is witnessed that you are reaching/entering into the Snack Shack through the door or window it is probable that you will be banned from entering the pool fence for the remainder of the month and the following month. If theft is proven you will be banned for the entire remainder of the pool season and could be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Members, including children and/or guests, will use the pool and its facilities at their own risk. Lincoln Youth Sports Swim Pool will not be responsible for any accidents or injury in connection with the use of the Pool or Pool grounds. Lincoln Youth Sports Swim Pool is not responsible for loss or damage to personal property. Everyone is encouraged to leave money and other valuables at home or in their locked vehicle or on their person. The Snack Shack operates only during Safety Breaks unless a preapproved Volunteer is willing to assist. No one is allowed in Snack Shack except Pool Attendants or, upon being granted permission from the Pool Attendant, the. Lincoln Youth Sports Board of Directors or Lincoln Youth Sports Pool Advisory Board Members may be granted access.
